What Is Beauty?
The word beauty is something which is most repetitively uttered as one talk about anything. It is the very attribute in an object or person that gratifies the senses because of its wonderful pattern, style and symmetry. It thus bestows a sense of peace, pleasure and positive vibrations on the beholder.Beauty even has divine attributes and is synonymous with truth, joy and harmony. The balance and unity with nature is what hypnotizes the beholder and attracts his attention. A beautiful object or person is one that epitomizes ones true qualities in the grandest way. This is how beauty is linked with the eternal concept of spirituality and oneness with God.
The whole world is a creation of God and abounds in beauty in every shape, form or size. The same creative instinct in a man like God makes him strive for beauty. This school of thought was propounded into extremes by the aesthetics who worshipped beauty in every form to the point of extreme sensuousness. But this is just the aspect of beauty in its physical form. It is something that has immense scope and encompasses all the living and non living beings be it a rose, or a girl or a well patterned show piece.
